Chivalric Philosophy and Combat in the Society for Creative Anachronism

Introduction

Greetings! I am Duke Dag Thorgrimsson, Knight of the Society, Companion of the Pelican, named Blackwolf by HRM Eliahu II. I have been an SCA combatant for well over thirty years, and Knight for almost thirty. I have sat the Throne of the Middle Kingdom seven times, the first time in 1990, and the most recent in 2012. I have fought in every kingdom east of the Mississippi and many to the west as well. I've fought beside and against some of the most renowned fighters in the Society from across the Knowne World, and I've learned and gained respect in almost every instance. So much for credentials.
